Coordinate the equipment and building plans
Provide equipment specifications, vendor drawings, delivery needs, and utility requirements to the design team. Cooking ventilation, fire protection, grease management, plumbing, and power need project-specific review by the responsible professionals. A previous restaurant use does not establish that a space suits a new operation.
Make the scope split explicit
Define landlord work, general construction, kitchen equipment, specialist trade work, signage, technology, and furniture. Front-of-house finishes and back-of-house coordination should be tied to the same approved plan. Ask each proposal to identify connection points and work by others.
- Who orders and receives kitchen equipment?
- Who verifies rough-in information before installation?
- Who coordinates the applicable building, fire, and food-service reviews?
Build an opening sequence
Construction, equipment installation, inspections, cleaning, stocking, and staff training have separate dependencies. Review them together before announcing an opening. AmeriConstruction can discuss general tenant finish-out and remodeling scope based on your equipment plan, landlord criteria, and design information.
