- Home: protect driveways, landscaping, entries, attic areas, and occupants.
- Commercial building: coordinate roof equipment, deliveries, tenant operations, and interior protection.
- Mixed roof: document transitions between assemblies and responsibility for those details.
Compare the handoff
Ask for material identification, repair records, applicable warranties, and maintenance instructions. Where more than one roof system is present, the owner should be able to tell which documents apply to each area.
