Let equipment requirements inform the scope
Give the design team an equipment schedule with dimensions, delivery requirements, utility connections, and installation instructions. Heavy or impact-producing equipment, vibration, and changes in use need review by the appropriate professionals. Do not treat a flooring selection as a substitute for confirming the floor assembly and intended use.
Separate public and support areas
Reception, studios, locker rooms, restrooms, staff rooms, and storage may need different finish and cleaning standards. Identify plumbing or ventilation work before setting a finish budget. If the facility stays open, review class schedules and access routes for each phase.
- Who removes and reinstalls exercise equipment?
- Where will deliveries and temporary storage go?
- Which spaces must be available for members during work?
Make equipment setup part of turnover
Allow for the equipment vendor, signage, technology, staff orientation, and cleaning after the construction package is complete. AmeriConstruction can discuss tenant finish-out and remodeling scope; bring the equipment layout and landlord criteria so responsibilities can be stated in the proposal.
